AI Avatars Get Custom Branding in Google Vids with Nano Banana 2
Your AI presenters just got a professional wardrobe upgrade. Google announced a major creative update for Google Vids: the ability to create custom branded avatars powered by the Nano Banana 2 model.
Until now, AI avatars were often generic. With this update, organizations can finally ensure their AI-generated spokespeople look, feel, and wear the company brand, making video creation feel like a natural extension of your marketing team.
Putting Your Brand on Screen
This update is all about creative control and visual identity. Here’s what you can now do inside Google Vids:
- Logo Integration: You can now upload your organization's logo assets directly into the avatar creator.
- Nano Banana 2 Refinement: Using Google’s latest image model, the AI doesn't just "paste" your logo; it intelligently refines the placement. You can adjust the sizing and positioning so your logo appears naturally, whether it’s as an enamel pin on a lapel or printed on a t-shirt.
- Team Consistency: Once you’ve perfected your branded avatar, you can save it within each Vid project. This allows your collaborators to use the exact same speaker, ensuring a consistent brand face across multiple videos.
Why It’s a Game-Changer for Communications
Whether you're building an internal training video, a quick sales pitch, or a social media update, brand consistency is everything. By allowing you to dress your AI avatars in your company colors and logos, Google is removing the uncanny valley of generic AI presenters. It makes high-quality video production accessible to teams who might not have the budget for a film crew but still need to look polished and professional.
Availability & Rollout
- Rollout Pace: Gradual rollout for Rapid Release domains (starting April 22); full rollout for Scheduled Release domains starting May 6, 2026.
- Who Can Use It: Available to most Business, Enterprise, and Education tiers, as well as Google AI Pro and Ultra personal accounts.
- Special Access: For a limited time (through May 31, 2026), even lower-tier accounts like Business Starter and Nonprofits can experiment with these generative AI features in Vids.
A brand is more than just a logo,it’s a presence. By giving AI avatars the ability to wear your identity, Google is making sure your message isn't just heard, but recognized.
